All the opportunities for your bachelor’s degree with MAN

Many options lead to MAN: Work at our location in Munich and study at the University of Munich, the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, or the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. At our Salzgitter location, the Practical Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s programme combines study and training.

The in-depth practical model at the University of Munich or the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences offers you the opportunity to undertake intensive practical phases during your studies and your practical placement semester. The overall duration of the course is 3.5 years.

A dual study programme at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University involves three- to six-month theory phases at the university alternating with practical placements at MAN of similar lengths. This enables you to link theory directly to practice. The overall duration of the course is 3 years.

Our Practical Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree programme offers a combination of study and training in just 4 years. Industrial training as a mechatronics technician leading to a Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualification is firmly integrated into the foundation programme. Students then have the opportunity to undertake a placement at a MAN location in another country. The basis of this combined degree programme is the close links between MAN, the vocational college and the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences.

How do you become a dual bachelor’s student?

In the next stage, we will take a look at your application and, if you are suitable, we will invite you to an occupational aptitude test. After successful completion of the aptitude test, you will be invited to an interview to give you the chance to personally win us over.

Depending on your course, the dual study programme is available in a range of departments across the company. Possible practical placements include HR, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Research & Development, Production & Logistics, and Procurement.

The dual study programme begins on 1 September each year with an internal preliminary placement. Then, depending on the course, the practical or theory phase of the study programme starts on 1 October.

The salary is aligned with the appropriate IG-Metall union tariff agreement for trainees and apprentices.

Our dual study programme students work 35 hours per week during their practical phases. Because we believe that it is important for our employees to have personal freedom, students can work away from the office 2 days per week and can use flexitime to structure their working hours flexibly.
