Ann-Kathrin, intern in the Inbound Transport department

“I started off at MAN with a compulsory internship – but that’s not where I finished. I was so enthusiastic about the insights I was gaining and working with the team that I chose to extend my internship. It quickly became clear to me that this is a place where I can not only learn, I can develop too. I was given responsibilities at an early stage, integrating fully into the team and gaining in-depth insights into business processes that would later make my thesis at MAN so much easier. What was my personal highlight? The organisation and presentation of a workshop in which we, as a team, worked together to draft strategies for the future. It was a moment that refined my view of the bigger picture.”

I was given responsibilities at an early stage and was a fully-fledged member of the team – an experience that really helped me with my thesis too.

Benedikt, Corporate Communications intern, Public Affairs

“My placement in the Public Affairs department at MAN has opened the door to political communications for me. Thanks to my colleagues, I was able to attend exciting meetings and gain a unique insight into this complex area. I found working on the comprehensive solution strategy to decarbonise road freight transport especially fascinating, it’s a subject with a very broad scope. Public Affairs at MAN covers a variety of topics, and I quickly came to understand how challenging the political field can be. I particularly enjoyed this complexity and the opportunity to develop and communicate comprehensive strategies.”

It soon became clear to me how challenging the political field is – especially when it comes to the development of forward-looking strategies to decarbonise road freight transport!
