Advantages of an electric truck

  • Economical

Electric trucks have lower variable operating costs than comparable diesel trucks and, depending on the individual circumstances, the total cost of ownership can reach parity in as little as four years.

  • Reliable

eTrucks provide the high-voltage batteries with the very best protection in the event of an accident. What’s more, the batteries are monitored and have an emergency shut-off.

  • Environmentally friendly and silent

Electric trucks are not just free of CO2 and pollutants – the noise emissions are also significantly lower than diesel trucks.

What our customers say about MAN eTrucks

Charging your electric truck – on-site and across Europe

Charging infrastructure

When the eTruck is parked on your company site overnight, you can easily completely recharge it. However, if the electric truck needs to cover long distances and you need to rely on public charging facilities, there is a useful tool: MAN SmartRoute simplifies route planning for the new MAN eTGX and MAN eTGS – and gives you the confidence to trust the electric range.

The eReady transformation of the MAN service network

An efficient service network is absolutely critical for both conventional trucks and the new MAN electric trucks. To ensure that downtimes for the new eTrucks are kept to a minimum, MAN is preparing its service network for e-mobility technology. We have an ambitious goal for this transformation: By the start of production for the eTrucks, we anticipate that 70% of all MAN’s own service outlets across Europe will be qualified and audited to serve eTrucks. We plan to be completely e-ready by 2028.

What does a MAN eTruck cost?

MAN electric trucks

The purchase price of an electric truck is higher than that of a diesel one. However, you always have to put the high up-front costs in perspective, as an electric truck really comes into its own in the long run with significantly lower variable operating costs. This is where the lower energy and service costs, the carbon tax and toll charges, as well as state subsidies play a major role – as you can see with the example in the table below. Depending on your individual circumstances, you can achieve TCO parity with a MAN eTruck in as little as four years.

Plus, MAN is on-hand to offer advice and support on finance options to help with the high initial costs and setting up the internal company infrastructure.
