The MAN Driver App for MAN and NEOPLAN drivers, as well as for drivers of other vehicle brands, is available in many languages and opens access to MAN's digital services. It is available as a free download in the App Stores for Android and iOS.
For truck drivers: POIs and contactless transactions
With the MAN Driver App, truck drivers can quickly find petrol stations and parking spaces and make contactless payments ¹⁾ . The driver can view the transaction history in the MAN Driver App and the fleet manager can view it in MAN SimplePay on the RIO platform.

With the MAN Driver App, drivers always have important information about their vehicle ready to hand. The digital assistant on your smartphone helps to simplify your everyday work on board trucks and buses over the long term. Our MAN Driver App supports drivers on every tour: smartly, conveniently and efficiently. It offers a wide range of functions designed to make life easier. For example, the App helps with pre-departure checks, compliance with driving and rest periods, and individual performance analysis.

The MAN Driver App also helps truck drivers to find points of interest such as petrol stations, parking spaces and MAN workshops. Drivers will soon also be able to quickly find charging stations suitable for e-trucks, for example MAN Charge&Go.

If the MAN SimplePay digital service has been booked via the RIO platform , truck drivers can use the App not only to quickly find a parking space, but also to book and cancel existing bookings. What's more, truck drivers – even vehicles of other brands – can use the App to make contactless transactions for refuelling and parking ¹⁾ . This will also be possible for other potential scenarios in the future. The driver can easily see the transaction history in the MAN Driver App and the fleet manager can view it in MAN SimplePay on the RIO platform .

MAN eTruck drivers are also able to monitor the charge status of the high-voltage battery at all times. In the event of a breakdown, the App, which automatically transmits the vehicle's location and VIN, is the quick and reliable way to contact MAN Mobile24.

The availability of individual functions may vary depending on the vehicle. The MAN Driver App also supports drivers of other vehicle brands with selected functions. Downloading the MAN Driver App is free of charge. The use of certain functions requires registration on the RIO platform and the booking of the corresponding digital services.

MAN Driver App features for trucks and their drivers

Guided digital departure check, including damage report
Before departure, the driver has the chance to document vehicle defects using a digital check list and to forward this to the fleet manager via the RIO Platform . The fleet manager can then forward all information about the reported damage to the responsible MAN service outlet. To forward the damage to the MAN service outlet, MAN ServiceCare S must be booked via the RIO platform.
Points of interest search and contactless transactions
If the MAN SimplePay service has been booked on the RIO platform , points of interest such as petrol stations and parking spaces will be clearly displayed in the MAN Driver App. This means that drivers can use the App to quickly find and book parking spaces and cancel existing bookings. What's more, the App can be used to make contactless transactions for refuelling and parking ¹⁾ . This saves drivers having to go to the petrol station checkout. The transactions carried out are clearly displayed in the MAN Driver App and in MAN SimplePay on the RIO platform . The increased transparency helps fleet managers to control and optimise costs.
Access to driving and rest times
Drivers can plan their rest times and breaks as needed and are better protected against violating driving times. This function requires the booking of the digital Timed service via the RIO Platform .
Individual driving style analysis
The MAN Driver App provides the driver with his individual performance data. This knowledge enables him to drive in the most resource-efficient way possible. The function requires the booking of the fee-based Perform service via the RIO platform .

With the MAN Driver App, MAN eTruck drivers can see the charge status of their vehicle at any time and anywhere.
Coming soon: an easy way to find eTruck-specific charging points
MAN eTruck drivers can use the MAN Driver App to quickly and easily find charging stations such as those provided by MAN Charge&Go . MAN Charge&Go is an eTruck-specific charging tariff for public charging. The MAN Charge&Go charging network is specially designed for commercial vehicles and is continuously being expanded to include suitable charging points. To display MAN Charge&Go charging points in the MAN Driver App, the service must be booked via the RIO platform.

The download of the App is free of charge. Charges may be incurred by your mobile phone provider for calling our breakdown service MAN Mobile24 and for using the mobile internet.

The use of some functions requires registration on the RIO platform and the booking of the corresponding digital services. You can find out the costs for these services on the RIO platform Marketplace.

You can use the basic functions of the MAN Driver App without a RIO account. To do this, simply add your vehicle to the App using the VIN.

To use features that require you to book a digital service, you can sign up in just a few steps:

Create a RIO account when you first launch the App. If you have already used the App without a RIO account, you can find the button for this in the settings as well as on the home screen of the App.
To create your account, enter your vehicle's VIN number, the number of your driver card and your user name (email address or mobile phone number). You will then receive a confirmation link by e-mail or SMS. This link will take you back to the registration page, where you can choose your personal password and complete the registration by clicking on “send”.
Restart the App and log in with your user name and password. Done.

Important: Self-registration in the MAN Driver App is only possible under the following three conditions: 1.The vehicle associated with the VIN number entered is registered on the RIO platform. 2. Your driver card has been scanned at least once in a vehicle registered on the RIO platform . 3. Your fleet management has activated the “Self-registration” option in the user management on the RIO platform .

We have integrated the Perform section into our driver App for this purpose. The feature clearly presents the performance data of your tours. Continuous analysis of your personal driving style enables you to sustainably optimise your driving performance, to reduce wear and tear and save fuel.

Important: The display of the performance values requires that the digital Perform service is booked for your vehicle on the RIO platform .

Displaying of data in the MAN Driver App requires the assignment to a driver card. For this reason, only the individual information for the logged-in driver is ever visible in the MAN Driver App. As fleet manager, you can view all information on the RIO platform .
